Virtual Film Fest FAQ’s
Get ready to enjoy the NorCal Short Film Festival from anywhere. Below you’ll find everything you need to know about how to watch, when films are available, and what’s included with your pass so you can make the most of our virtual festival experience.
When is the virtual festival available?
Our virtual festival will be available for on-demand viewing:
March 2, 2026 at 10:00 AM PST through March 15, 2026 at 11:59 PM PST
You may watch anytime during this window.
How do I watch the virtual films?
All virtual screenings are hosted on our Eventive Virtual platform.
You can access the virtual festival on:
- Any web browser
- Apple TV
- Roku
- Amazon Fire TV
- Smart TVs via the Eventive TV app
A direct link will be provided on our website and in your confirmation email.
Do I need an Eventive account?
Yes. You must log in or create an Eventive account to unlock virtual screenings.
Can I watch on multiple devices?
Yes. Log into the same Eventive account on any supported device.
Is the virtual festival included with my All Access Pass?
Yes! Every in-person All Access Passholder automatically receives full virtual on-demand access to all blocks included in the virtual lineup.
Your pass will allow you to unlock each virtual block at no additional cost.
Are virtual tickets limited?
Virtual blocks allow one full viewing per unlock, but rules may vary by film.
Do virtual films play at scheduled times?
No. All virtual films are on-demand.
How long do I have to watch once I unlock a block?
Eventive’s standard watch rules apply unless otherwise noted:
- 72 hours to begin watching after unlocking
- 24 hours to finish once you start playback
Do virtual unlocks expire on March 8?
Yes. All virtual programming ends at 11:59 PM PST on March 8, 2026, regardless of when you begin watching.
Is the virtual festival geo-blocked?
Most films will be available worldwide, but some may have U.S.-only or California-only restrictions based on distributor rules.
Any restrictions will be clearly labeled on Eventive.
Are virtual tickets or virtual access refundable?
No. All virtual access (including All Access Pass virtual benefits) is non-refundable.
Will all in-person films be available virtually?
Not necessarily. Some films may only be screened in theaters due to rights restrictions or filmmaker preference. Any unavailable titles will be clearly indicated.
Can I watch a virtual film more than once?
Virtual blocks allow one full viewing per unlock.
Can virtual viewers vote for the Audience Choice Award?
Voting will not be enabled on virtual blocks.
